Save the 4th entry forms available

CLINTON — The Save the 4th organization is seeking volunteers to participate in the Fourth of July parade on Wednesday, July 4.

There is no entry fee. Both walking and motorized groups including floats are encouraged to enter. Motorized groups will line up at noon and walking participants will need to line up at 12:45 p.m.

The Clinton Recreation Department is also seeking teams of four for the grass volleyball tournament at 9 a.m. and teams of two for the bags tournament at 10:30 a.m. July 4.  Grass volleyball will cost $60 per team and bags will cost $20 per team.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the first- and second-place teams in both events. All proceeds will benefit the “Save the 4th” fund.

Entry forms for both the parade and tournaments with more information are available at the Clinton Herald office, 221 Sixth Ave. South. Entry deadline for both is July 2.
