CLINTON — The Gateway ImpACT Coalition will offer TIPS training for bars and restaurants.
The class will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, at the Clinton Community College technology room 15.
The class will cost $21 per student. TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) is a training program designed to prevent inebriation, drunk driving and underage drinking by enhancing the skills of servers, sellers and consumers of alcohol.
TIPS lasts for five hours and is designed for servers at restaurants, bars, hotels or any other establishment where alcohol is consumed on the premises. Employees learn strategies for serving alcohol responsibly while providing good customer service.
