FULTON, Ill. — An open house for a future streetscape project will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. today at Fulton City Hall.
The Fulton City Council is hosting the open house to the public and residents of Fulton to discuss options for a traffic study and street options for the downtown district.
”Basically we are going to look at two options for the downtown street,” City Administrator Randy Balk said.
The city has been working on the first phase of the streetscape project, which includes the traffic study, since June 3.
It was decided by the council that public input on the study and the street design would be a necessary step to continue with the next phase of the project.
Once the open house is held, and the council receives feedback from community members, they will proceed with planning on the renovation of the historic district in downtown Fulton.
