---- — CLINTON — The Clinton Area Showboat Theatre is holding a trivia night on Friday, Feb. 21.
Proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit the Showboat’s educational intern program, summer camps for children and 2014 professional summer stock productions. The event will take place at Gil’s Ballroom, 2750 S. 27th St. in Clinton.
Teams should consist of six to eight members. Registration begins at 6 p.m. with play beginning at 7 p.m. Fees are $10 per person. Gil’s is open for dinner before the contest and beverages and snacks are available for purchase during the evening. No food or beverages may be brought in. Mulligans and doublers will be available for purchase and there will be a 50/50 raffle.
Shows for the 2014 season will include: “The Taffetas,” (June 5-15), “Annie Get Your Gun” (June 19-29), “The Wizard of Oz” (July 3 to 20), “Wonderful Town” (July 24 - Aug. 2) and “Alice in Wonderland” (Aug. 8 to 17). There will be two children’s camps this summer: “Camp Oz” will run July 7-18, with performances on July 18 at 7:30, and July 19 at 2 and 4 p.m. and “Camp Wonderland” will run Aug. 4-15, with performances on Aug. 15 at 7:30, and Aug. 16 at 2 and 4 p.m.
Tommy Iafrate is returning as producing artistic director for the 2014 season.
