CLINTON — Registration is now open for the Felix Adler Children’s Discovery Center’s Spring Break L.E.A.P. Camp. “No Batteries Required” will be held from Monday, March 10, to Friday, March 14.
L.E.A.P. Camp is an enrichment day camp for children in kindergarten through fifth grade. There are two different sessions: “Games without Batteries” in the morning and “Stories without Batteries” in the afternoon. “Games without Batteries,” will be held from 9:30 a.m. to noon.
Children will explore the games played in other parts of the world like Crokinole, Pooff, Knok Hockey and more. They will learn and play individual and team games plus make their own game from Africa to take home. “Stories without Batteries,” will be held from 1 to 3:30 p.m.
Children will share a story through theater and learn about scripts, acting, costumes, stage presences and set design.
Family and friends are invited to the performance on the final day at the Discovery Center. Children who attend both the morning and afternoon session can bring a sack lunch and stay and play during the lunch hour from noon to 1 p.m. Staff at the Children’s Discovery Center will supervise.
The cost per child per session is $40 for all five days; or $75 per child for both sessions, for all five days. Members will receive an additional discount. The Children’s Discovery Center will be open to the public on Monday and Tuesday, March 10 and 11, as well as regular business days.
