Fit Pro expands business with move into new location

CLINTON — After years of motivating clients to meet their fitness goals, Joe and Jewel Howard have reached one of their own: expanding their business.

The Clinton couple owns Fitness Professionals 360, which will open in the former Mr. Movies building later this month.

“We’ve been looking around for a long time now. The last couple years actually,” Joe said. “But there’s never been anything that was the right size for what we need. It was either too small of a building or not enough parking spots. This location has what we need.”

In their current location on Fourth Avenue South, they offer a bootcamp that includes grocery store tours, nutrition guidance, instruction from certified personal trainers and a fit-for-life guarantee. By moving from their roughly 4,500-square-foot space at 127 Fourth Ave. South into a 7,000-square-foot building, they will add a gym and a protein and smoothie bar for their bootcamp clients in addition to anyone who wants a gym membership.

The gym will have weightlifting equipment, such as dumbbells and cable machines, and cardio equipment, such as treadmills and ellipticals. A family membership will cost $50 a month and an individual will cost $40 with discounts available for the first four months the gym is open. Boot camp participants will pay $119 a month.

They will also have an introductory program for new members to walk them through how to use the machines and cardio equipment as well as food to enhance their health.

The couple has a staff of trainers that tailor their instruction to any clients needs. They work with people who have a diabetes, are pregnant or injured and pay special attention to making sure the client will be successful in the program.

“We have anyone from the age of 16 all the way to 75. We completely modify everything to your needs,” Jewel said.
