CLINTON — Rachel Cotton is looking forward to promoting positive awareness for the United Way of Clinton County.
The 28-year-old Sabula native recently started as the marketing coordinator for the organization. She will use her art and computer skills to emphasize United Way’s current funding campaign.
“I like the design and marketing aspect of course,” Rachel said. “But I really like the people I work with and helping the community.”
Art has always been an interest for Rachel, with her drawing even before she was in school. She recently graduated from Ashford University with a degree in graphic design, with 12 credits in marketing. She has always been interested in animals, art and architecture.
This winter, Rachel volunteered with United Way by promoting an art auction online. Once she graduated from Ashford, she called the organization and started a part-time position.
She will officially become marketing coordinator Monday.
Any promotional flyers seen around town were most likely designed by Rachel. She also is working to update the organization’s Facebook page and website.
“I love being busy. I have to stay busy and I enjoy it,” Rachel said.
