---- — FULTON, Ill. — A Wisconsin woman was injured after a one-vehicle accident Thursday.

According to the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called at 10:45 a.m. to a single-vehicle rollover accident on U.S. 30 east of Elston Road involving a 2007 Mazda driven by Mary C. Erickson, 54, of Cudahy, Wis.

A press release states the vehicle was traveling west on U.S. 30 when it crossed the center line of the roadway. Erickson overcorrected by coming back across the road and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle traveled onto the north shoulder of U.S. 30, causing it to slide down the bank, overturn and land on its roof, coming to rest in a drainage ditch.

Erickson, who was alone in the vehicle, was able to exit her vehicle without any need for emergency extrication. A passerby offered her assistance until Fulton ambulance was able to stabilize her and transported her to Mercy North Hospital in Clinton for examination. The vehicle was a total loss. Whiteside County deputies were assisted at the scene by Fulton police, Fulton fire and ambulance and the Illinois State Police.
