Lavender ridge

To the Editor,

My letter is in reference to Lavender Ridge Farms Spring Festival held this past Memorial Day weekend.

As a first time vendors helper, I would like to thank Mr. James (Daddy) Ware, Jane Dane and Jerry Ware, plus their staff on their excellent care and attention they gave each vendor and the delicious Lavender Lemonade they served to us (when their Cafe slowed down) to our spaces.

Daddy Ware was very accommodating, with his golf cart, giving rides to those that needed them to the restrooms, Cafe or their parked cars.

The Lavender Farm, also has plants for sale, tropical and garden, a cutting garden, soon to be in bloom and a strawberry patch that was very busy being picked, pick it yourself lavender from the field and a great gift shop filled with Lavender products and hand made gifts by many artist.

There are picnic tables to use under the oak trees for your own picnic lunch, or delicious salads and sandwiches from the Cafe.

A great day trip from the Metroplex for a family outing to let the children run and play.

We as new vendors are looking forward to the fall festival, the weekend of Oct. 9th, 10th and 11th. This was decided at a vendors meeting Sunday night, at a catfish dinner, with all the trimmings, hosted by the Ware family and staff, where we discussed the upcoming festival, name and activities. Ya’ll Come!
