Dubuque Wahlert, led by medalist Amy Ihm, took first place at the North Scott Lancers Girls Invitational Golf Tournament on Thursday at Glynns Creek Golf Course. Clinton finished eighth.

Ihm shot a 73 over the 18-hole layout as the Golden Eagles took first place with a 346-stroke total. Davenport Assumption finished second with a 395, followed by Dubuque Senior with 409.

Taylor Sprank of Assumption was runner-up medalist with an 84, followed by Wahlert’s Lauren Gonner with 88.

The Clinton River Queens finished with a 478-stroke total. Amanda Harrop led Clinton with a 50-64—114, with Alexandra Gallardo shooting a 119.

Mid-Prairie wins meet

LOWDEN — The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks of Wellman took first place in a quadrangular golf meet at the 330 Club, defeating Calamus-Wheatland, North Cedar and West Branch.

The Golden Hawks shot a 220-stroke total, edging Cal-Wheat by one stroke. The West Branch Bears finished two strokes behind the Warriors at 223.

North Cedar’s Courtney Dewell grabbed medal honors with a 49. Kelli Jensen of North Cedar and Skylar Daehn of Calamus-Wheatland shared runner-up medal honors with 50s.

Eickert leads Rebels to win

CLINTON — Shelby Eickert of Northeast claimed medalist honors with a 49 and led the Rebels to a 224-329 dual win against Camanche on Wednesday at Canyon Creek Golf Course.

Preston has medalist

MOUNT VERNON — Samantha Dierksen of Preston shot the low round Wednesday, but the short-handed Trojans didn’t have enough people in the lineup for a team score in a loss to Lisbon at Hillcrest Golf Course.

Dierksen shot a 46 to beat Lisbon’s Hannah Meyers by three strokes.
