BELLEVUE — Harriette E. Koppes, 92, of Bellevue, died Monday at the Sunrise Villa, Bellevue.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Bellevue. The Rev. Steven Meyer will be officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be today from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Kingery Funeral Home, Bellevue.

She was born May 22, 1913, in Chicago to Frank S. and Nellie Cruise Reyner. She married Marvin M. Koppes on June 13, 1936. He died in 1998.

She graduated from Maquoketa High School in 1931. She then attended Kent (Ohio) State College and Maquoketa Junior College.

She taught in the Jones and Jackson county schools for seven years. She worked at her husband’s law office in Bellevue for 55 years before retiring in 1990.

Survivors include nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
