Camanche wrestlers win all but 2 against Midland

CAMANCHE — Camanche won all but two matches as it rolled over Midland 62-12 on Tuesday in a high school wrestling meet postponed from Dec. 18.

Jim Thomas (125 pounds), Dann Kooi (152), Andrew Zimmerman (189) and Brett Hankenmeier (285) picked up pins for the Indians, who had five duals Saturday, have a double dual Thursday and compete in a tournament Saturday.

“We didn’t have much of a Christmas break, but we definitely are a better team because of our work over the past few weeks,” Camanche coach Brett Carstensen said.
