Girls basketball: Eads lifts Morrison to win over Forreston

POLO, Ill. — Chelsea Eads scored seven points in the second quarter, keying Morrison to a 50-42 victory against Forreston in girls basketball Wednesday at the Polo tournament.

The teams were tied at 15 after one quarter, but Eads helped the Fillies outscore Forreston 18-5 in the second period. She finished with a team-high 16 points, while Lakin Goodman and Emma Melton scored 10 each.

Rachel Walton of Forreston led all scorers with 21 points, all coming from 3-point range. She made four in the opening quarter. Maggie Curry added 13 points.
