Oberman scores 21 points in 57-44 victory by Rebels

DURANT — Following a loss to Cascade on Friday night, the Northeast Rebels came back and defeated Durant-Bennett 57-44 on Saturday in River Valley Conference girls basketball.

Addie Oberman scored 21 points, including 10 in the second half. In the fourth quarter alone, she shot nine free throws and missed just one.

The Rebels never gave up the lead, although Durant-Bennett did bring the deficit within one just before halftime.

Northeast helped put the game away in the fourth quarter by scoring 17.

Alyssa Roth also scored 15 points for the Rebels.

The leading scorer for Durant-Bennett was Shannon Telsrow with 12 points, including four points in the first and second quarters, then two apiece in the final two quarters.

Bellevue falls

WELLMAN — Bellevue scored just four points in the third quarter as Mid-Prairie defeated it 46-34 on Saturday in the River Valley Conference.

Carly Rubel scored 12 points for the Comets.
