Boys basketball roundup: Cascade avenges loss to Camanche

CASCADE — Back on Jan. 21, Camanche had the highlight of its season by handing the Cascade Cougars their first loss of the season. Cascade handed out revenge Friday night at home by defeating the Indians 74-48.

Haris Takes dropped 27 points on the Indians, while Seth Boysen scored 13 points for Camanche.

Camanche had a rough first half, scoring just eight in the first quarter and four in the second quarter.

Friday’s loss snapped a five-game winning winning streak that started with the Cascade upset. Camanche’s next game is at home Monday against Durant-Bennett.

Tyler Banowetz scored 19 points in the win, while Colby Mangler and Chase Putman each nailed a trio of 3-pointers in their 11-point performances.
