Marquette Catholic takes 2nd

MILES — Edgewood-Colesburg beat Marquette Catholic 21-13, 21-7 on Saturday to win the title of the Easton Valley volleyball tournament.

Edgewood-Colesburg finished 3-0, while Marquette Catholic went 2-1, Bellevue was 1-2 and Easton Valley went 0-3. Ed-Co dropped just one set its three matches, the first one against Bellevue.

Blake Banowetz led Marquette Catholic on the day with 18 kills and six aces. She also had 18 digs and four blocks.

Maddie Hiland led Bellevue in kills (21), digs (27) and ace serves (9).

Easton Valley was led by Lizzie Meier with 22 kills, while Sabrina Bormann had eight kills, 10 digs and team highs with three blocks and five aces.
