Erie rallies for Warkins win in OT

ERIE, Ill. — After facing a 16-point halftime deficit, Erie waged a big second-half comeback Friday at the Warkins Cardinal Classic girls basketball tournament.

Knoxville led the host Cardinals 31-15 after two quarters behind 17 points from Tessa Jones. Erie held Jones to five second-half points as the Cardinals won 49-48 in overtime.

The Cardinals halved the deficit by outscoring Knoxville 11-3 in the third quarter and tied the game at 44 after regulation. Erie won overtime 5-4.
