WOODHULL, Ill. — Noah Shannon shut out Fulton on three hits and drove in three runs to lead Ridgewood to a 5-0 victory in non-conference baseball Tuesday.
Losing pitcher Jack Lemke allowed just five hits, giving up two runs in the first inning and one each in the third, fourth and fifth innings. The loss dropped the Steamers to 1-5 on the year.
“The one positive from this game is that Jack Lemke threw extremely well,” Fulton coach Kyle Miller said. “His first varsity start on the mound, he looked like a seasoned veteran out there. After hitting better pitching last night, we struggled at the plate again. We’ve got to get back at it tomorrow.”
