Not ready to play

Prince of Peace lost to the Eagles 55-47 on Dec. 10 when the Irish hit 17 field goals and Sydney Laufenberg led the Irish with 10 points.

So what good can come out of a loss like this?

“We had a little bit of a run over the last couple of weeks where we got stars in our eyes a little bit, and we thought we had everything figured out,” Maddasion said, “but a game like this proves we need to come out every day and look to improve and bring our best daily.”

Maddasin also said he wasn’t the type of coach who was going to beleaguer his players for playing badly in practice the next day.

“I’m not one to yell, or run them to death, because I don’t see anything productive in that,” he explained. “What we will do in practice is go over the things that need corrected, try to improve the things we did well on tonight and learn from this experience.”
