Rickertsen, Jacobs top field at Big East

Jacobs finished 11 strokes ahead of her nearest competition, Tessa Fahey of Bellevue. She made five pars and shot a 40 on the front nine, parred No. 10, birdied the par-3 11th, had consecutive pars on Nos. 13-15 and added two more pars on 17 and 18 for a 38 on the back.

Lisbon won the team title with a 402 total. The Lions had the next three girls in the standings after Fahey.

Camanche took second in the team race with a 421 total. Alison Seibel led the Indians with a 103, but teammates Kelly Michaelsen (104) and Stephanie Lanford (106) finished right behind her in the standings.

Catrina Jargo of Northeast placed seventh in the medalist race with a 102, and Preston’s Courtney Yaddof shot the same score.

Lauren Heilig of Calamus-Wheatland made the only other birdie in the round, making a 3 on the par-4 17th hole.

It was the final conference tournament for the Big East, which is breaking up after this season.
