Iowa man accused of placing devices in restroom

SOLON — An eastern Iowa man has been arrested on suspicion of placing audio and video recording devices inside a portable restroom.

The Dubuque County Sheriff's Department says 48-year-old Donald E. Born, of Solon, turned himself in to authorities Wednesday. He faces two charges of trespassing.

Authorities say the devices were found June 3 at a baseball field near a high school in Cascade. Middle school students were playing a baseball game at the time, and a student reported finding a suspicious device in the portable restroom.

The Telegraph Herald reports Born was released after posting a $300 bond. Court records do not list an attorney.
