Historical Society hold first ghost walk downtown
Organizers call event a success

Taking a trip into Medina’s past, the first Medina Historical Society ghost walk was a success, according to event organizers.
“I think it went very well,” said Mayor Adam Tabelski. “It’s a place to start from. Hopefully it was an enjoyable event for those involved.”
Tabelski, who was dressed in period clothing, acted as the tour guide and spoke about both the history and mystery that the downtown Medina area has to offer. Circling downtown, the lantern-lit tour featured stories, history and lore of several old homes, churches, Main Street buildings and the Erie Canal.
“I think it was very successful,” said member Catherine Cooper. “Everybody had a great time. They seemed to get into the spirit of the occasion.”
Due to the success and interest from the community, Tabelski said he’s optimistic that this is something the historical society will continue in the future.
Tickets can still be purchased for the second night. Tours will be held at 7 and 9 p.m. Friday. Tickets are $8 pre-sale or $10 at the door and can be purchased at the Shirt Factory Cafe, 115 W. Center St.
