    Improving on last year’s second place finish, the Barker High School boys cross-country team took top honors Saturday in the state Class D championship race.

    A speedy Grover Cleveland squad scored a goal late in each half to defeat Holley 2-0 Saturday in the Class B West Regional at Spencerport.

  •  Hawks earn state berth in thriller
    Coming up huge defensively down the stretch, Holley edged past Bath Haverling 1-0 here Wednesday night to capture the Section V Class B berth to the state playoffs.

  •  JV Eagles gain finals
    A quick two-touchdown scoring burst midway through the third quarter sparked the undefeated (9-0) Albion JV Eagles to a 41-6 victory over the Attica Blue Devils on Sunday in the Niagara Orleans Football Association JV Division semifinals at Vets Park.

  •  Hawks vie for states
    Looking to earn a berth in the state playoffs for the first time in 12 years, the Holley Hawks will face the Bath Haverling Rams in the Section V Class B state qualifier game at 7 this evening at Victor.

  •  Thunder rolls in semifinals
    A pair of fourth quarter touchdowns put a lock on the win as the Newfane Thunder defeated the Medina Colts 24-7 Sunday at Vets Park in the semifinal round of the Niagara Orleans Football Association Mini Division playoffs.

  •  Albion H.S. senior wins sectional title
    In just his second year of running, Albion High School’s Bryan Deibel continued an outstanding senior season by winning the Section VI Class B race Friday at Elma Meadows.

  •  Holley captures Class B championships
    A late first-half goal provided the lead and the defense did the rest as top-seeded Holley went on to defeat No. 3 Greece Odyssey 3-0 here Saturday night to capture the Section V Class B championship.
