Virginia Ann Conaway

CAMANCHE — Virginia Ann Conaway, 79, of Camanche, died Wednesday, November 11, 2009, at Mercy Medical Center North.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 16, 2009, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Clinton.

Visitation will be 4 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 15, 2009 also at the Immanuel Lutheran Church. Pastor Paul Holmer will be officiating. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Lemke Funeral Homes — South Chapel has assisted the family with arrangements.

Virginia Ann was born on July 21, 1930, in Perry, Iowa; she was the daughter of Theodore W. and Veda G. (Heister) Jacobsen.

Virginia graduated from high school in 1951 from Calamus, Ia. She attended the Busella school of Cosmetology. She married Lloyd Conaway on August 19, 1961, in Clinton. She was a homemaker, a beautician and she took care of the elderly.

Virginia was a member of the Moose, Isaac Walton league, and the Order of the Past Noble Grand Member Rebekahl 13.

Virginia is survived by her 2 sons, Theodore “Ted” (Sue) Stacher, of Dallas, Texas, and Scott Conaway of Camanche, Ia; 7 grandchildren; several cousins; and special friends, Roberta Wagner, Ruby Van Pelt and Fern Heath.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 1 sister.
