What is wrong with people today?

This letter pertains to the story “Son attacked by dogs.”
My daughter and grandchildren had the same situation with people driving by in the need of help! It was on Bluff Boulevard and South 14th Street at a very busy time of day. My daughter was in a double cab truck that caught on fire from the 18-month-old spilling her juice on the stereo’s amp that was in the back seat on the floor.
The truck quickly filled with smoke. She stopped the truck and got her two children out, ages 18 months and 5 years, panicking on what to do, standing in the road with her children. All the people could do was honk and yell at her to get out of the way!
What is wrong with these people today? What if this was happening to them, would they want someone to stop and help them or pass by? I hope you’re all reading this that drove by and will think twice next time. If you help someone in need then it will come back to you.
