You don’t get an opinion

If you don’t live in South Clinton, don’t assume to know what goes on down here.
If you haven’t breathed in massive clouds of contaminated dust, you can’t have an opinion. If you haven’t heard or felt the vibrations of a hydraulic drill, your house shaking and windows rattling, you can’t have an opinion. If your park wasn’t sold by the city, you don’t get an opinion.
If the street you’ve lived on for 30 years isn’t being turned into a dead end with a large fence, you get no opinion. If the main road you travel every day isn’t being sold by the city and fenced off, you have no opinion. If you haven’t been in our homes to see how they look, you have no opinion. If your health and quality of life hasn’t been trashed, you get no opinion.
If you, your children and grandchildren aren’t being put in harm’s way by the city, you get no opinion. If your civil rights aren’t being violated because of where you live, you get no opinion. Believe it or not, these homes were here first. So keep your uninformed opinions to yourself.
