As a former resident of Clinton, Iowa and the Director of Operations and Education at the Clinton County Area Solid Waste Agency I had the opportunity to get to know Rodger Holm. Rodger is a candidate for Mayor in this year’s election and I know he would do a superior job as the Mayor of the City of Clinton, Iowa.
How do I know he will do a superior job?
I spent two years working with Rodger while he served as the City of Clinton’s representative on the CCASWA’s board of directors.
Rodger has business knowledge and knows how intergovernmental agencies work.
The City of Clinton has many intergovernmental workings and it takes someone like Rodger to support the City staff to make things happen.
Mayor’s responsibilities are not just within the City of Clinton, but within the county and a planning area.
Rodger has been an active member of the Clinton Community involved in the Skyline Center, Kiwanis Club, and numerous other groups in the community of Clinton that makes Clinton what it is today. Rodger has compassion for his community and its people. Compassion and wanting to make things happen is what Clinton needs in a Mayor.
In the time I worked with Rodger he was always vocal about how important family is. That is a quality that is sometimes missing in our world today.
Life is busy and we sometimes forget to make time for our families. Rodger was always talking about attending his granddaughter’s music concert or grandson’s baseball game. He fit it in within his duties of work and serving his community.
In the almost 10 years I spent in Clinton, I saw many great changes happen. There are many more to come and by electing Rodger Holm it is sure to happen.
Rodger is the candidate that can work for all ages in your community. Being a person on the younger spectrum of the voting age, I really encourage the young voters to take a look at what Rodger has to offer the City of Clinton, Iowa and vote for Rodger on Tuesday, November 6.
Rodger is the candidate that can work for all ages in your community.
