We need a change in the way we trade. Big business and their lobbyists in Washington get trade deals like NAFTA passed so they can grow their profits and shrink workers’ wages. Decades of unfair trade deals have hurt manufacturing committees across America and right here in Iowa. This election we need to make sure that we choose a president who is committed to putting American workers and American interests first.
John Edwards is the only candidate I’ve seen who I am confident will put working Americans before greedy corporations. John Edwards has said that the first thing he’ll look at when considering trade deals isn’t whether it will be well received on Wall Street, but whether it will help everyday Americans like us on Main Street. I believe him when he says he’ll insist on pro-worker provisions and will hold our trade partners to the commitments they make.
John Edwards has always been a strong advocate for working Americans because he understands the challenges we face. He grew up in blue collar communities like many here in Iowa and I know for a fact that he will never forget about us when he’s in Washington.

I support Gov. Bill Richardson of New Mexico for President. He is the most qualified for the job. He will get us out of Iraq with honor. He will move our country ahead. Above all I can trust Bill Richardson. I am tired of Hillary, Obama and Edwards. I have a bad case of H.O.E. fatigue. They have been all slamming us with detailed proposals to cure every American aliment that have not won my confidence. Richardson has won my trust. I am tired of Edwards’ high wattage smile. I am tired of Obama’s policy du jour. I am tired of Hillary and Bill Clinton. I will caucus for Richardson in January.
