Come on out to the Toys for Tots event

December 13, 2007 11:18 am

Sheryl’s Showstoppers Dance Academy will present a benefit holiday dance performance for the United States Marine Corps Reserve “Toys For Tots” program. The event, Making Spirits Bright, will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday in Clinton High School’s Vernon Cook Theatre. The program features students of all ages and abilities dancing a variety of dance disciplines to favorite Christmas tunes. Concluding the program is a special dance presentation featuring Baby Jesus with a finale to Awesome God.
The dancers are excited about entertaining the community and want to share their talents to ensure all children receive gifts at Christmas this year. Public attendance is encouraged and free of charge. Those interested in supporting the Toys For Tots program this year can bring a new, unwrapped toy or they can offer a cash donation. Any donation is acceptable and greatly appreciated but not required for admission.
Schedules permitting, Marine representatives will be available to accept the public’s donations. All gifts received are donated and distributed in Clinton County through the Holiday Network, which works with local organizations to determine needs.
We extend a special invitation to our numerous business partners, community organizations, churches, individual donors, Washington Middle School Students and our Dance Academy families and friends for their outstanding and generous efforts and contributions.
Be our guests and bring your families for an enjoyable hour of wholesome family entertainment and fun. After the show join us for refreshments and free souvenirs.
For the seventh consecutive year Sheryl’s Showstoppers Dance Academy is the United States Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys For Tots Clinton County, Iowa sponsor. “Making Spirits Bright” is a non-profit event.
