• The Left Bank Art League of East Moline, Ill., will exhibit at the River Arts Center in Clinton through April 21. The paintings and raku pottery of these nine artists, Sheryl Lammers, Pat Halvorsen, Rose Moore, Judy O. Gray, Bonnie Grebner, Karen Stewart Casper, Sharon Hanson, Lori Miller, and Brent Langley, will be shown. The River Arts Center is located at 229 Fifth Ave. South, in Clinton and is open Wednesdays through Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m. and by appointment for group programs and tours by calling 243-3300.

• Clintonish Knitters meet Thursdays from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and Saturdays between 9 and noon. There is no fee for this group. Stitchers share techniques and the love of knitting or crocheting.

Meetings are at Clinton’s St Paul’s Lutheran Church at the corner of Eighth Avenue South and Third Street.

Thursday

• The Clinton Board of Realtors will host a pasta night from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Evangelical Free Church, 1010 13th Ave. North. Proceeds are donated to the Special Athletes of Clinton and Whiteside counties.

The menu includes spaghetti and meat sauce, garlic bread, cole-slaw, drinks and dessert. Ticket prices are $6 for adults and $3 for children younger than 12.

Carry outs are available.

• The Clinton Public Library will host a “Mammoth Undertaking” at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the root cellar. Mark Roberts will chronicle the efforts of a small team of inexperienced paleontologists from Clinton County Conservation as they dug up the remains of a Columbian mammoth near Oskaloosa.

The program is free and open to the public.

• The Camanche Players will host a play starting Thursday and running through Sunday.

The play, “The Riddle Curse,” will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, with a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday at the Little Theatre in Camanche High School.

Admission is $6 for adults and $4 for students and senior citizens.
