CLINTON — A mobile education exhibit is now available at the Sawmill Museum.
Through the Sawmill Museum’s EnviroStewardship camp, the museum is hosting Iowa DNR’s “Cause and Effect: Your Eco Story” mobile education exhibit. The trailer will be available from today to July 20 during normal hours. Regular admission applies.
The exhibit is a trailer that consists of five separate stations.
Each station has a theme like sustainability, recycling, household hazardous materials and water/energy conservation. Each room is equipped with touch screen computer games, flat screen TVs and interactive displays.
The trailer is here as part of the museum’s summer camp that was funded by Iowa Resource Enhancement and Protection Conservation Education program. The camp runs Tuesdays and Wednesdays in July with 6 to 9 year olds meeting from 9:45 to 11:45 a.m. and 10 to 14 year olds meeting from 1:45 to 3:45 p.m.
There are still a few scholarships available for the camp that makes the camp $25 for the entire month. It is $15 a week for registered camp goers otherwise. Visit www.thesawmillmuseum.org/envirostewardship-camp.html to register.
