Events planned at Discovery Center

---- — CLINTON — Children’s programs will continue this week at the Felix Adler Children’s Discovery Center.

Chess Club meets every Wednesday at 1 p.m. This club is for ages 5 through 95. Adults are encouraged to participate with their children. Chess Club is a free, educational activity with regular Children’s Discovery Center admission.

WOW Wednesday is at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Friends from the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center will be visiting to present “Bobby’s Gift of Life”, an original puppet production. This puppet show is geared for ages 7 through 10. Children will learn in a non-threatening way how vital blood is during an emergency and the role blood donors play in helping save lives.

Fun Time Friday is Friday at 10 a.m. with Sarah and her monarchs. Monarchs are Sarah’s favorite butterfly and they are all over the community. She will bring in caterpillars, butterflies and maybe even a chrysalis. Children will learn all about this lepidoptera and its life cycle.

Admission to the Children’s Discovery Center is $4 per person age 2 and older, $3 per person age 65 and older, and free for members and kids age 1 and younger.
