---- — CLINTON — Clinton County Habitat for Humanity is searching for volunteers to serve as advocates for a new Habitat family.
A supporter/advocate/friend (SAF) is a member of the Family Support committee, which provides support to the family who is chosen to be the recipient of a Habitat home by empowering them through the process of home ownership. The SAF serves as a liaison between Habitat for Humanity and the family by communicating the requirements of being a Habitat homeowner.
The Family Support committee will hold an informational meeting for the public at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Village Inn, 1710 Lincoln Way.
Habitat for Humanity is working on the plans for a new home in 2014. A step in the home-building process is acquiring volunteers. A family will be chosen after the position of SAF is filled.
Call Tami at the Habitat office at 242-4494 if interested in being part of this committee.
