Agency on aging seeks board members

DAVENPORT — Milestones Area Agency on Aging is recruiting one board member from each of the following regions:

• Region A: Clinton, Scott, and Muscatine counties

• Region B: Appanoose, Davis, Jefferson, Keokuk, Lucas, Mahaska, Monroe, Van Buren, Wapello and WaynecCounties

• Region C: Des Moines, Henry, Lee and Louisa counties

Members are chosen on the basis of character, ability and demonstrated interest in advocating for aging Iowans. The applicant is a representative of their area and preferably with a background in law, accounting, medicine, health or public leadership.

These are voluntary positions for a term of three years and without compensation. Regional Board members meet the fourth Tuesday every other month in a central location and are automatically members of the Advisory Council that meets quarterly in either Burlington, Davenport or Ottumwa.

Those interested are asked to complete a board member application/nomination form, which is available by calling (855) 410-6222 or by writing Milestones AAA, 117 North Cooper, Suite 2, Ottumwa, IA 52501 or by emailing cholland@milestonesaaa.org. Deadline for application is May 31.
