THOMSON, Ill. — Stewards of the Upper Mississippi River Refuge are hosting refuge golf cart tours that travel through the Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife and Fish Refuge.
The tours are free and open to all ages. Trips are the first and third Thursday and the third Saturday of every month from May through October. The golf cart will leave at 8 a.m. at the Ingersoll Wetlands Learning Center, 7071 Riverview Road, in Thomson, and will return at 10 a.m. Thomson, IL and will return at 10 a.m. Participants are asked to arrive at 7:45 a.m. Registration is required and seating is limited to seven.

Birding van tours also are being offered on the second Saturday and third Sunday of every month from May through August.
The van will leave at 1 p.m. and will return at 5 p.m. Participants are to meet at 12:45 p.m. at the Lost Mound Office parking lot, 3159 Crim Road, Savanna, Ill.
Tours are free, but seating is limited.
