---- — CLINTON — More than 30 people recently graduated from the annual Citizen Police Academy.
Clinton Community College hosted the graduation ceremony involving 31 residents for 18th academy. This is the largest graduating class ever.
Graduates included Mitchell Bielenberg, Stacy Bohle, Aubrey Burmeister, Gwendalyn Deming, Ryan Driscoll, Sharon Gandrup, Deanna Gibson, Brian and Cindy Gifford, Andrew Good, Edward and Jean Hupfer, Kathleen and Thomas Klahn, Donald Klinkhammer, Georgia Koranda, Mark Lehmann, Charles and Gail Levsen, Trisha Lubinski, Ty Raaymakers, Connie Schmitz, Lauren Schwandt, Pamela Sheridan, Marsha and William Smith, Melissa Sullivan-Pope, Robert Temperley, Brian Tiesman, Daniel Zeeryp and Larry Zeeryp.
The Citizen Police Academy teaches participants about patrol operations, operating while intoxicated, street crimes, crisis negotiations, criminal and crime scene investigations, dignitary protection and the judicial system. The goal of the Citizen Police Academy is to provide the educational connection between the community and the city of Clinton law enforcement.
