DES MOINES — An ice jam on the Wapsipinicon River near Donahue in east central Iowa is causing some flood worries.
The National Weather Service in Davenport reported this morning that the river was rising rapidly.
Ice jams can develop and break up quickly, causing rapid flooding up or downstream.
Donahue is in Scott County northwest of Davenport.
The weather service issued a flash flood warning until midday today for southern Clinton County and for northern Scott County.
