CLINTON — The Clinton Jaycees are starting a new event called Speed Networking. This program, which is cosponsored by the Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce, is aimed at connecting local professionals with each other.
Pairs of professionals will be matched up and they will have five minutes to tell each other who they are, where they work and what they can do for the other individual before rotating to another partner. The advantage of Speed Networking over other events where people go to network is you can network with more people in a shorter period of time and everyone at the event is there to network.
The Iowa Jaycees have been hosting Speed Networking with great success in the Des Moines area since last spring. They have a testimonial from a Des Moines area chiropractor who has attended every Speed Networking event and has received new patients from all of them. Now the Clinton Jaycees and the Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce are bringing Speed Networking to Clinton.
The first Speed Networking event will be hosted at Homer’s Deli, 241 Main Ave., on Tuesday, April 1. The event will start at 5:45 p.m.
Speed Networking events are free and open to the public, but advance registration is required. A Web site has been set up for participants to sign up for Speed Networking events and more information can be obtained from the Web site. The Web site address is www.extreme networking.org.
