CLINTON — The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office has updated its Most Wanted list and is asking area residents to report sightings of the Most Wanted criminals to the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office or Crime Stoppers.
Deputy Stacey Bussie said the most wanted list was started nearly six years ago in an effort to obtain information on criminals who have committed felonies when the individual has eluded capture by law enforcement officials.
“By putting their name and photo out there to the public, we have gotten excellent responses,” said Bussie. “Of seven original individuals on the list, we caught four within the first month.”
He pointed out that those who call Crime Stoppers, do not need to give law enforcement officials their name, and the information provided could lead to the arrest of a potentially dangerous criminal.
“Crime Stoppers operates on the basis of information. It is not necessary for a citizen to leave their name, all we want is the information,” Bussie said.
Accused criminals named in the list are wanted under warrants issued following felony charges by the cities of Clinton, Camanche, DeWitt or in Clinton County.
Individuals currently listed on the Clinton County Most Wanted list include:
n John Toby Anderson, 32, is wanted on a charge of failure to register as a sex offender. He is a white male who is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 147 pounds.
n Joshua Alan Kimble, 23, is wanted on a charge of failure to register as a sex offender, second offense and failure to appear. He is a white male, 6 feet tall and weighs 170 pounds.
n John Richardson, 41, is wanted for second degree theft. He is a white male, 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes.

He is wanted on a Rock Island (Ill.) County warrant for escape. He is to be considered armed and dangerous. He is 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 190 pounds. He has blue eyes, brown hair and a scar on his left arm.
“Any information we can get on them we greatly appreciate,” said Bussie.
In a recent success story, one of the original individuals listed on the Clinton County Most Wanted list when it was started five years ago was arrested May 2. Matthew C. Paschka, 27, was arrested in Arlington Heights, Ill., then transferred to Whiteside County to answer for a warrant there, before being extradited to Clinton County. Paschka faces charges of second degree theft and forgery following incidents in June 1999. He pleaded not guilty to the charges on May 12. A pretrial conference has been set for June 12 at 9 a.m. The trial for the second degree theft charge has been set to begin June 23.
