Single car crash being investigated

CLINTON — Officers from the Clinton Police Department, along with the Clinton Fire Department, responded to the 5800 block of Lincolnway for a report of a single motor vehicle crash involving one individual with injuries at 4:29 a.m., Sunday.
Officers located a 1997 Saturn in the south ditch of the eastbound lane. The driver was extricated from the vehicle by the Clinton Fire Department and transported to Mercy Medical Center in Clinton.
Officers determined the vehicle was traveling east on Iowa 30 when the vehicle traveled into the north gravel shoulder. The vehicle then traveled across all eastbound lanes and entered the south ditch where it rolled several times.
All names are being withheld at this point until notifications are made.
The collision remains under investigation by the Clinton Iowa Police Department’s Traffic Collision Investigations Unit.
