Man killed by train identified

— MORRISON, Ill. — Morrison police have identified the man who was struck and killed by a train in that city early Monday morning.
Jerry D. Olson, 73, of Morrison, was pronounced dead at the scene after he was hit by the eastbound train while walking east on the north side of the railroad tracks near the Genesee Street crossing around 3:30 a.m.
The name and identity of the victim remained unknown until Monday afternoon, when his family reported to police that a person fitting his description was missing.
