Clinton man arrested for attempted murder

CLINTON — A Clinton man has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing on Saturday night.
Robert J. Ewing, 25, 514 10th Ave. South, was arrested Saturday and charged with attempt to commit murder after officials responded to his residence just before 7:30 p.m. for a report of a stabbing.
An investigation was made at the scene and at Mercy North Hospital. Officials report that the victim is recovering, and that the person’s identity is not being released at this time.
The case remains under investigation by the Clinton Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division and the Clinton County Attorney’s Office.
Ewing is currently being held in the Clinton County Jail on $25,000 bond. Attempted murder is a class B felony, punishable by up to 25 years in prison.
