CLINTON — A ribboncutting ceremony will mark the official opening of the local Republican office on Saturday.
The event will be 11 a.m. at 527 S. Third St., Clinton.
Former Mayor LaMetta Wynn and the Clinton County Republican Central Committee will be at the event. The general public is invited.
Immediately afterwards, the Republicans will kick off the election season in Clinton County with a phone bank and voter canvass. All Republicans and the general public are encouraged to attend, meet the candidates and volunteer to make phone calls and knock on doors to get out the vote.
Lunch will be provided for volunteers, who will be going strong until 9 p.m. and trying to compete with Scott County and break their record of making more than 6,000 calls in one Saturday.
