DEWITT — The 2008 DeWitt Holiday Expo, sponsored by the DeWitt Chamber of Commerce, is set from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. The expo is an opportunity for patrons to see what DeWitt merchants have available for the holidays. The event is held at the DeWitt Community Center, 512 10th St.
Area merchants will have displays of holiday gift giving ideas. Merchandise on display can be purchased that day during the expo. There will be a wide variety of businesses set up at the expo including food, floral and assorted specialty gifts. Several businesses will hold open houses inside their business that day also. Door prizes will be given away at participating merchants’ booths throughout the day.
A partial list of participants include: A Sweet Read, Andresen Landscaping, Barnes Foodland, DeWitt Chamber of Commerce, DeWitt Fitness Center, DeWitt Junior Women, DeWitt Noon Lions, Dot's Hallmark, Flowers on the Side & Gift Baskets, Grand Mound Communications, IH Mississippi Valley Credit Union, KMAQ Radio, Meant To Be, Natural Elements, Necker's Jewelers, Rhythm Avenue, Scentsy Independent Consultant, Scott Hoag Photography, Scott Thrifty White Drug, Superior Satellite and The Observer.
Check with the local retailers for extended holiday hours.
