Online medical courses are offered

— DAVENPORT — Eastern Iowa Community College has partnered with Gatlin Education Services to offer online healthcare career certificate programs. Offerings include medical transcription, pharmacy technician, medical billing and coding, advanced hospital coding, ICD-10 billing and coding, and administrative medical specialist with billing and coding.
These non-credit courses are designed for individuals looking to switch career paths, obtain advanced training and certifications, or for first-time job seekers who need specialized training. The courses are open enrollment and self-paced, and students are paired with a personal instructor. Courses take an average of three to six months to complete and provide training for entry-level positions.
Providing education on the web since 1994, Gatlin Education Services, Inc., is the largest provider of web-based, instructor-supported training to colleges and universities. Gatlin open-enrollment programs are designed to provide the skills necessary to acquire professional caliber positions for many in-demand occupations.
