Weather blankets area with snow, ice

CLINTON — Three inches of snow covered Clinton Wednesday and more is expected for today and the weekend. On Saturday, there is a 50 percent chance of light snow.
Last December, Clinton saw a total of 17.3 inches of snow, making it the seventh snowiest December on record. The biggest snowfall in one day was 4.5 inches, while most days about an inch or two of snow fell.
Clinton saw ice storms on Dec. 1 and 11, and about six days had fog with the snow. However, there were no days where temperatures reached below zero. On average there are three.
