---- — BELLEVUE — Rep. Brian Moore, R-Bellevue, has announced he is seeking re-election to the Iowa House.

Moore represents all of Jackson County and portions of Jones and Dubuque counties.

A lifelong Jackson County resident, Moore farms as well as owns and operates Elwood Trucking, a livestock transportation business. He and his wife, Kim, a teacher at Bellevue Marquette, have eight children, two daughter-in-laws and three grandsons.

As a state representative, Moore has worked to cut through gridlock and partisanship to get things done on behalf of Iowans.

“Rep. Moore has reached across the aisle, putting aside differences and delivering results,” said House Speaker Kraig Paulsen. “Rep. Moore has ensured that essential government programs are funded in an efficient and effective way and that Iowans will see meaningful property tax relief.”

In the House, Moore is the vice chairman of the Transportation committee and serves on the Agriculture, Economic Growth and Ways and Means committees as well as the Transportation, Infrastructure and Capitals Appropriations subcommittee.

Moore will continue his efforts to bring sensible solutions to the Statehouse.

“Iowans expect their elected officials to work together towards our common goals to move our state forward,” said Moore. “I will continue my commitment to listening to my constituents and doing what I can to make it easier to be an employer in this state, ensure Iowans can keep more of their hard-earned money and tackle the infrastructure problems facing our communities.”
