SAVANNA, Ill. —
UPDATED - 10/25/2012, 2:50 p.m.: A woman shot by a Savanna police officer Wednesday is now facing five felony charges.
The Illinois State Police conducted an investigation into the police-involved shooting and identified Allana D. Hill, 21, with a last-known residence of Gardner, Kan., as the woman shot after eluding police and striking a male in police custody.
Hill is now facing charges of aggravated battery, a class two felony; aggravated reckless driving, a class four felony; aggravated battery using a deadly weapon, a class four felony; aggravated battery causing great bodily harm, a class three felony; aggravated fleeing and attempting to elude, a class four felony.
At 4:07 a.m. a Savanna police officer attempted to make a stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation, according to a Wednesday press release from the Savanna Police Department.
The vehicle stopped 3 miles south of Savanna on Illinois 84 and the officer was able to get the male in custody. Hill then allegedly fled the scene.
Hill then allegedly came back to the scene and struck the male in custody, prompting the officer to shoot at the vehicle, striking it and Hill. She then crashed into a house in rural Carroll County, according to the release.
After Hill was taken into custody, officers located an infant in the back seat of the vehicle, according to the ISP. The infant was transported to the hospital and was later released into the custody of the Iowa Department of Human Services.
Hill was treated and released from Mercy Medical Center. The male, whose name is being withheld for family notification, is currently in the hospital due to injuries sustained by being struck by the vehicle.

According to the release, the vehicle eventually stopped 3 miles south of Savanna on Rout 84. The officer was able to get the male in custody, but the female occupant fled the scene with the vehicle.
The vehicle then came back to the scene and struck the male subject in custody.
The officer shot at the vehicle, striking it and the female driver. The female then left the scene and crashed into a house in rural Carroll County, according to the release.
Both occupants of the vehicle were transported to Mercy Medical Center in Clinton by Savanna ambulance.
The female was treated and released to the Carroll County Jail. Charges are pending on both individuals.
The officer was also transported to a hospital and subsequently released. No further details on his injuries could be released. The officer is recovering at home with his family and will be on administrative leave until the conclusion of the investigation by the Illinois State Police, according to the release.
