---- — CLINTON — Another large group of Ashford University students will become Ashford University graduates this weekend as the university holds its fall commencement activities.
The weekend celebration kicks off Saturday at Ashford’s campus with several events from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Activities include student honor society and faculty meet-and-greet sessions, photos with Ashford University president Richard Pattenaude and “Champ” (Ashford’s St. Bernard mascot), historical presentations, food and a “fun zone” for children.
Graduation ceremonies will be held Sunday at the iWireless Center in Moline, Ill.
An expected 1,560 students from across the United States and from several foreign territories will receive their Ashford diplomas during the ceremony. Along with the graduates, there will be an estimated 4,500 friends and relatives present.
