---- — CLINTON — A 61-year-old man was injured during a home invasion in Clinton.
Police and fire personnel responded at 8:38 p.m. Sunday to 3242 McKinley St. for a robbery. Patricia Anderson, 20, 3242 McKinley St., reported that four or five armed males broke into her home and put a gun to her head.
During the incident, another resident, Harrison Guy, 61, heard the disturbance, armed himself and attempted to aid Anderson. He was subsequently assaulted and his handgun was taken. He was later transported by ambulance to Mercy Medical Center North for non-life-threatening injuries sustained during the assault.
The intruders fled the scene before police were called.
